HUNT was hired to design a 30,000 SF addition to a facility in Ithaca that manufactures flow measurement devices for surgeons and other medical specialists.  

The building includes manufacturing space, a new visitors entrance, parking and site amenities, and a truck loading dock. The addition is a pre-engineered metal building situated to capture natural lighting on the south façade through clear-story windows extending the length of the roof peak. The light is directed to the center of the manufacturing area. 

Displacement ventilation systems are cost effective by introducing fresh air at the floor level and using occupants’ body heat to direct air movement up and away from work areas. The plaza between the existing and new building was landscaped and appointed with seating areas and plantings to provide a pleasant break area for employees.
