HUNT's Response to COVID-19

To our Clients, Industry Partners & Community Members : Over the past two weeks, the US has been faced with a difficult situation in handling the COVID-19 outbreak. We at HUNT understand the need to change our daily activities and our leadership team has been developing a plan to alter our work style and prepare for potential problems in our industry. In order to protect the health and safety of our team, their families and our communities while continuing to serve our clients, we have taken the following steps in each of our offices:

Social Distancing Protocols: Our first priority is keeping those at HUNT and in our communities safe. Based on the CDC recommendations and federal guidelines, HUNT has instituted several protocols to limit the spread of COVID-19.

  • Avoid meeting people face-to-face. HUNT staff are encouraged to use the telephone, online conferencing, e-mail or instant messaging to conduct business as much as possible, even when participants are in the same building.

  • If a face-to-face meeting is unavoidable, minimize the meeting time, choose a large meeting room and sit at least one yard from each other if possible; avoid person-to- person contact such as shaking hands. Outside participants will need to be prescreened and make an appointment to come to our office.

  • Avoid any unnecessary travel and cancel or postpone nonessential meetings, gatherings, workshops and training sessions.

  • Encourage members and others to request information via phone and e-mail in order to minimize person-to-person contact.

  • Requiring employees that are experiencing fever, cough, shortness of breath, aches and congestion to stay home until they are free of symptoms for 24 hours.

  • Increasing the number of employees working remotely with consideration of those with health conditions, elderly or ill family members and those with children out of school.

We understand that communication is imperative to our successful partnerships with our clients and contractors. We will continue to use our operational effectiveness process in order to maintain steady contact during this time. Your HUNT contact should be in touch this week if there are any changes to their contact numbers or daily schedules. If you have any concerns, please call our corporate office at 607-358-1000.

This situation is causing ever-changing impacts on our professional and personal lives, and we believe in constantly assessing that impact in order to safely continue our service to our clients.

Our leadership team is available to discuss this policy and any specific project requirements.

We encourage all our industry contacts to be responsible and work to help everyone stay as healthy as possible.

Thank you,

Christopher Bond

HUNT CEO
