Gowdy and Hunt was founded in the wake of the devastating Southern Tier flooding of 1972.  Recognizing the importance of supporting communities in their time of greatest need, Gowdy and Hunt laid the foundation for what would become a trusted name in design and engineering. Over the years, strategic acquisitions of like-minded, community-oriented firms enabled us to broaden our expertise and expand our reach. These partnerships infused our practice with diverse talents, innovative approaches, and a shared commitment to improving the built environment.
