The Northside Pedestrian Safety Improvements project on East Pulteney Street makes the Northside neighborhood of Corning more walkable and bikeable. Driven by “Smart Growth and Complete Streets” principles.

Transportation enhancement funds administered by NYSDOT resulted in a center-raised median, a pedestrian refuge and midblock crossing, appurtenant pavement surfacing, and sidewalk corrective maintenance.
